Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Australian AR 180s

Can anyone provide information about AR-180 type rifles manufactured in Australia in the 1980s by Leader Dynamics?  We have seen a couple of samples, 5.56 mm semi-auto only, imported by a now-defunct law enforcement supply house in Culver City, CA. All bear serial numbers under 5,000.  No data appears in standard printed reference sources and today's Armalite has no record.
