An inert M9A1 anti-tank rifle grenade next to a 60mm mortar round with the tail assembly of an M11 practice grenade screwed onto the bottom. These were appreciated because of their effectiveness as an anti-personnel weapon. The thread pattern is the same (the threads on our mortar shell are a bit buggered and the tail assembly won't screw in all of the way).

Whats the range on that sucker... I mean it has to be damn near danger close for a 60mm.
Thinking that the increased weight of the 60mm head wouldn't give you near the range of the regular rifle grenade. |

No idea on the fuze.
There is little that I can find out about the rifle grenade. there are some references to it in books and very few pictures. I expect it's range was about 100 yards or more. It weighs about what the M31 weighs. there are actual reports of hand thrown 60mm rounds being used in WWII so I expect the blast radius wasn't an issue. |
