So does anyone else out there collect WWI uniforms and or equipment?  If so let's see it!

I'll post some tonight when I get home if this gets any interest.

Posting pics.

89th Inf Div 164th FA Uniform in a very hard to locate 40R!

89th Inf Div 177th Inf Rgt very heavily worn coat.  This may have been his actual combat uniform which is rather rare.

I would be interested in the stories of the men that wore those.

Neat!

Very neat.  Those look uncomfortable and itchy as fuck though.

Only a few of the uniforms had names.  When i can find the info I have I can post it with their coat.

I still have several others that I have yet to get pictures of.  Been putting a lot of my time into finding Punitive expedition equipment (1915-1917).

Not nearly as bad as some of those worn by other nations.  Commonwealth uniforms have been known to rub my neck bloody in a day, but I'm thenthitive

The hobnail boots are the real hell though, and the US made out again in not subjecting it's men to puttees.

You'd be surprised. Other than being heavy as shit, the Brit P08 uniform is quite comfortable. Of course, I don't mind wool, unlike the guy above this post.

Those italians were always snappy dressers, I wonder how comfy their gear was.

What?!! (Puttees were standard for Americans in the trenches.)
