A 19 year old Setsuo Ishino was believed to be the pilot.  Afterward, his body was given proper salute and sea burial.  According to one of the comments, the impact dent is still there.

Pieces of the aircraft became popular souvenirs for the crew of the Missouri.

My Great-Uncle was a S1c on the Missouri during that time, and was on board during the surrender ceremony.
