Juggernaut,  I almost blew my coke up through my nose when I saw your reply...  Made me go through my mp3's and listen to the original Abbott and Costello.

SNIPERm88 is too young to get it.   [:D]

Cool beans.  A total guess.  1953, I thought of what they used... M1 Garands still.  Pretty easy guess I suppose.

Too bad I cleaned all my guns since the shoot.  Maybe next time. :)

Was there an Armalite in 1953? I have read that  the Armalite division of the Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation was not established until October of '54.

The AR-10 was developed starting in 1953 before Eugene Stoner joined Armalite.  However you are correct about armalite becoming a part of Fairchild in OCT. of 1954.

No expiration date on that offer.

Naturally...

Pretty broad topic fellows...history of what? Guns? Comedians? What? It's late, I'm tired, back's hurting and Vicodin is kicking in, but seem to recall someone famous saying "He who forgets History is doomed to repeat it"...Who said it? How is it relevant today?
