Juggernaut, I almost blew my coke up through my nose when I saw your reply... Made me go through my mp3's and listen to the original Abbott and Costello. SNIPERm88 is too young to get it. [:D]

Glad they reinstalled it! Missed it from the old site. Lots of knowledge here.

You are right (about me being too young). Didn't mean to bust in on your party 7. <---- 223 posts. [:)](not any more) [:(] [sniper] Edited for clarification.

Ding Ding.... you win a free rifle cleaning 7.

Cool beans. A total guess. 1953, I thought of what they used... M1 Garands still. Pretty easy guess I suppose. Too bad I cleaned all my guns since the shoot. Maybe next time. :)

Was there an Armalite in 1953? I have read that the Armalite division of the Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation was not established until October of '54.
Link Posted: 4/26/2001 6:54:46 PM EDT
The AR-10 was developed starting in 1953 before Eugene Stoner joined Armalite. However you are correct about armalite becoming a part of Fairchild in OCT. of 1954. No expiration date on that offer.

Right back at you... What was the AR-1 chambered for?

Yes, he is. (Love that skit...) I catch the ball and give it to who? Naturally...

Pretty broad topic fellows...history of what? Guns? Comedians? What? It's late, I'm tired, back's hurting and Vicodin is kicking in, but seem to recall someone famous saying "He who forgets History is doomed to repeat it"...Who said it? How is it relevant today?
