Just started reading it.  Has political history behind each ship, design history and operational history.  Plenty of photos and line drawings contribute to make this one of the best books I've seen on ships in years. With respects to battles, every hit is documented and discussed.

Neat.  What do you consider to be the most interesting German BC battle of that war?

Were there just two classes, five ships?

There were about five classes with some that weren't finished or even started. The latter ones that weren't finished or started had 30.5 cm (15") guns.

Virtually every action is covered.  Don't have a favorite.
