I've gone to two before. The first time just in normal cloths and the second I dressed up which made the whole thing much more fun.

Well so far my kid is still gun ho for her own garb. I'm sure we will put something together during the winter months. I'm still not sure what I want to do... my chubby side still wants to hide in a robe. But there is no way I could make it through a hot day alive in that. But I like the simplicity and look of the robe. I suppose I will end up more peasant like to keep from cooking too much. And I need to find a way to CCW ![]() |

Sterling or the one in Orange county? I go with a quarter staff and a boot knife. Not sure you really need any more than that at either faire in NYS |

I went to my first one back in early August. I liked it enough that I went again in early Sept.
I liked it much more than I thought I would. Originally, I was just curious and it looked like it might be a good time. Now, I'm sort of hooked, okay, not sort of, I AM hooked. I ordered a set of clothes from Medieval Collectibles and a hat from Tall Toad last Friday. The Ren-Faire does connect with me on more than a couple of levels. I like crafts, women in corsets, food, distilled/fermented beverages, live entertainment, medieval weaponry.......Hey, what's NOT to like! |
