What are the legalities regarding going stockless on a Post Ban Rifle?  As an example, consider a post ban AK with a fixed Ace style stock.  It would be fairly easy to take the stock on and off with the hex screws.  As such, would it be legal to leave to stock off the rifle for compact storage (for trips, hikes, ect..) as long as the stockless rifle meets the minimum length rule?  Going further what if the stock itself was modified to take on and off without any screws?  Not that I would want to shoot the rifle stockless but make it more portable.

I believe they insist it requires a TOOL to attach or remove the stock.  Minimum length still applies too.
