No.
First, although this rifle has many imported parts, it has enough US-made parts to be considered *domestic*. Regs on imported guns are even more strict. Second, BATF ruled that, for the purposes of the Klinton Krime Bill, a thumbhole stock "encloses a pistol grip", and therefore counts as one feature. Adding a FS would bring the count up to two, which would make it an illegal "assault weapon". If there was a legal way to add a FS, everyone would have one. -Troy |

Take a look at the new "T-48" from DSA, it has an attached magazine and a stripper-clip loader built into the dust cover. ARS (Arizona Response Systems) is building something similar and both are awaiting approval. No detachable magazine, you should be able to add the flash supressor.

Or does the US parts requirement still stand. |

If you have enough US parts, you can put a pistol grip back on (except in california, where it's got to be a registered "assault weapon" to have a pistol grip now).
If you have an imported rifle, you may not be able to use standard magazines, as well - as the floorplate and follower of the magazines were used by some importers/mfgs to be part of the domestic parts content. This is why you'll see ads claiming some imported AK's, for instance, can "use any magazines" while others say "must use US magazine parts for legality". Ain't life just peachy? |

On an IMPORTED weapon, the 1989 Import Ban must be complied with, and that makes pistol grips a no-no. Adding enough US-made parts can "magically" turn your imported gun into a domestic gun, and you can then change the thumbhole stock out with the standard stock and pistol grip. Note that there are different definitions of what a pistol grip is under the 1989 Import Ban vs. The 1994 Krime Bill. A thumbhole is not a pistol grip under the former, but is under the latter. -Troy |
