I don't know whether its legal or not, but if you plan on mounting a 12 gauge under your AR, I hope the AR aint that great. It's a GREAT way to screw up a perfectly good rifle.

if u live in ca. i wouldnt try any other state it should be fine check with the ss squade i mean cops(sorry)

The BATF has issued some rulings on this. You could check their website.

If you live in California don't do it. Don't even possess one. The Department of Justice has advised me that in their opinion any flare launcher that is designed to be mounted on a firearm is a destructive device per California Penal Code section 12301.
I disagree with them, but that is their opinion. |

It is of my opinion that the kalifornia doj is in violation of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization Act of 1989.
