Not much you can do, public records and such. Part of my job entails finding people, and most people can be found with about two minutes of computer work. All you need is a name and one other piece of information, such as age range, other relative name, month/year of birth, zip code with a radius, etc. If the name is unique, you don't even need an extra bit of information. If you own your residence, that makes it sure-fire, but renters can be found, as can cell phones, places of work, e-mail addresses, you name it. I have only encountered one person who I have not been able to locate over the last five years of locating hundreds, if not thousands, of people. That person is on the FBI most wanted list and the feds can't find him either. One way to possibly make it harder to find your residence would be to quit claim it into some obscure sounding trust. That would throw a bit of a kink into a land records search based on your name alone. All counties have different search criteria so that may or may not help.
