THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
Ok, so we've seen P-90's, Calico .22 rifles, Mauser broomhandles, and FN Five-seveN's used for futuristic guns in sci-fi movies. What are some other real-life guns that could easily fit into a sci-fi movie?

Mossberg Bullpup 12-gauge

Techno Arms Mag-7 12-gauge

Neostead NS2000 12-gauge

Grendel P30 .22 Magnum (with 30-rnd mags!)

Whitney Wolverine .22lr (the originals were used in sci-fi movies as futuristic spaceguns, back in the day)

Steyr Model 1911 (various 9mm calibers)

Mateba Unica 6 revolver and Mateba Grifone carbine (.357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .454 Casull)

Rex 412 revolver, .357 Magnum

Udar revolver (big version in 12.3mm, little version in 9mm Makarov with moon clips)
America is at that awkward stage where it's too late to change things from within and too early to shoot the bastards.

And of course the MG42s on stedicam mounts. Lets ROCK!

More recently, after a long weekend of drinking Mountain Dew and playing the Aliens vs. Predator roleplaying game, the geeks at Knights Armament decided to make the "ChainSAW". All it needs is the steadicam mount and a motion detector.

Polymer frame, break-action, .357 Magnum. Designed for the US market, but Bill Clinton cockblocked US gun owners (for the billionth time) and banned them from import. The Russians never bothered to make more because we were pretty much their only market for them.

I really want a Neostead too. The selectable magazines (so you don't have to unload the gun to switch from buckshot to slugs; just flip a switch) and 12+1 capacity in a bullpup shotgun just gets me ten kinds of excited. I even like the Mag-7, despite the really short 12-gauge shells (about the only ones available in the US that fit into it are Aguila minishells) and fugly looks on the civvie version. I also want a Streetsweeper, but the ATF fucked me over on that by making them (and all other rotary drum shotguns) DD's.

Check out the Medusa Model 47. .357 Magnum revolver, but the ejector also doubles as a built-in moonclip. You can load it with .357 Magnum, .38 Special, .38 S&W, 9mm, .380ACP, .38 Super, and more. Basically any .355"/9mm cartridge (minus bottleneck rounds like .357 Sig and the .365" 9mm Makarov); it chambers and ejects all of them just fine. The shorter the cartridge, the more accuracy suffers, but it's the ultimate pistol if you have to scrounge for ammo in the post-apocalyptic wasteland. It also has the strongest cylinder ever made in a revolver.
