Sorry if this is a dup - just thought I'd check in case I've missed a good one along the way. I've seen plenty but none made an impression on me like the rough sex scenes in Basic Instinct. I was a teenager when it came out and had never seen anything like it. My current vote would go to the scene in A History of Violence. His wife is pissed at him and they have a rough encounter. He tries to be loving afterward and she kicks him off like a used piece of meat. (Pretty good movie by the way - "yeah, I'm Joey")

No - I'm not into S&M type stuff. I just think this is a category often overlooked. I always hear people rave about make-up sex and I want to tell them they're doing it wrong. You're supposed to do it while she's still pissed off at you.

Stairway sex was a good scene.

There were a couple good ones in 9 1/2 Weeks and another good one in Basic Instinct.

I think the era of explicit sex scenes is largely behind us. The 80's and 90's pushed the limits of sexuality. Now it's all about blood and violence. I want BOTH!
