I'm really not, I'm like the example parents use for "don't be like that guy".

I asked as well. You should be able to find cached pages via Google. That's providing the info in this thread is somewhat accurate.

http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1631022

more info, cached pages listed but links don't work

Unless it has an Arf specific meaning I am unaware of, it usually means Attention Whore Disorder I believe.

If you are referring to the A.W.D at the ends of some posts, then they are nothing more than the initials of the poster as a post signature.

Last post dates of "11/1/2014" are incorrect due to a site glitch.  Anyone whose last post was prior to that date had the stat updated to 11/1/2014 due to that glitch. See AROCK, for example, a poster we all know would not have been posting in this decade:  http://www.ar15.com/member/user.html?id=15

This was mhoffman's thread reintroducing himself:  http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1482659_It-s-been-a-long--long-time---I-think-it-s-been-long-enough---Hello-again--ARFCOM-.html

He stopped posting soon after.

Yes, this thread should be tacked, and I'm tempted to update the thread with new ARFCOM lore.  Problem is, there are those that are more dedicated than I that will have more information and search-fo to do a better job at it.

Maybe I'll get it going anyway...

So I ran a search on the Archive server with the following parameters:

Search Filters:
  • Archives
  • tea or any of that crap
  • Match Exact Phrase
  • In Thread Posts
  • All Forums
  • 1/1/1990-1/1/2000
Result=No Results

I then changed the end date to 2001, which would encompass the time period W_W reposted it... and *still* got 'No Results'.

That suggests (to me, at least) that exact-phrase searching might not be working correctly on the Archive server.

Note: Link to Iowaredneck's original question, for posterity.

There are a couple threads that deserve honorable mention.  I suffer from CRS so please forgive me if i get details wrong.

1.  a member was going to go to Vietnam? Cambodia? and had a chance to shoot a water buffalo with and RPG.

2.  Who was it that outed Obama's town hall carpet bagger?  He set up some questions in the interview but was later proven to be one of the campaign staffers.

3.  Is there any tacktical advantage to a single shot 12 gauge?  Member created a tactical shotgun that sprouted many copies.  I think half of ARF now has OD single shot 12 gauges.

4. Annatrocity's melt rise and fall.

I had to do some research on that one:  http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1984142_Notification-pop-up--you-were-mentioned-.html
