Damn hoppers got my garden and ate all my lettuce, peas, spinach, and I'm sure some of my other vittles that I cannot recall in the blind rage that I am feeling.
I Have been hunting them to no avail. I am looking for a non-persistent type of poison. VX is probably a no go, and I am out of one of the precursor chemicals anyhow. That and the wife has specifically forbidden me from making WMDs any longer. 
Sreiously though, what is something good to spray on my veggies to keep the bunnies at bay? I was thinking cayenne and garlic oil blend, any other suggestions. Yes I have a .22 w/ can. Yes, I intend to use it if possible. No, I don't think that putting them on a pike will help, so I will put them in a pot and post pix. |

Pindone. It comes in powder and liquid and is applied to 'bait' (whatever of yours they're eating). Lead is more fun though.

Go to your local wal-mart or nursery and pick up a roll of no bird/critter plastic mesh fencing. It'll be black mesh, and one roll should be enough to surround your entire garden.
Pick up some wooden fencing stakes or make your own out of scrap. Surround your garden with the stakes which you've pounded into the ground with a mallet. Hang the mesh fencing on the outside of the stakes and secure mesh to stake with a staple gun, twist ties or twine. ??? Just set wire snares on their entrance path. just be prepared to find a dead cat or maybe small dog every once and awhile, but oh well if they ain't yours, they are nusances too.
