Interesting report from the Pentagon on MSNBC.com right now. AC-130's and Predators are working as Hunter-Killer teams now, with control terminals on the AC-130's both directing them and allowing the Spookies to get real time data. The Predators still have their Hellfires as well, for quick response to attack high value targets. In addition the Predator/AC-130 combos are spotting for A-10's and fighters who drop heavy LGB's on caves and other hard targets. That is a damn good combination they got going there.

Got pics of the planes and the LGB? Is the LGB one of those 15,000 lbs. bomb?

as far as i know an LGB (laser guided bomb) is used to destroy buildings. and things on the ground that aren't moving. you point a laser at the target and the bomb homes in on the laser beam point. if i'm wrong then sorry... OffRoad

Oh! I saw a report of a HUGE bomb that carries 12,000 lbs. of explosives, used specifically for cave-busting... not the same one I assume.

Fox, but they could be wrong. They have been supposedly coming for weeks, out of Uzbekistan.
