Thought I would provide some mor einfo that was in tonight's paper about the shooting. Seems as the incident started over an argument with the plant manager and the gunman over a woman employee. Two killed and six injured including the gunman and the plant manager. A 12ga. pump shotgun was used and the police reported finding 25 shell casings in the plant. The gunman was also a FFL and police seized a .22 cal. rifle, another 12 ga. pump and ammo and mags for an AK47, but no AK was found. Police speculate that the incident was not a planned incident due to the the fact that the shotgun was loaded with birdshot. According to the police chief, first responders had a perimerter set up three minutes after the call was recieved, but some people are complaining that it was over two hours before medical attention was administered to the victims. I'm just providing info for all the curious out there. Right now, there are alot of rumors flying around the community and most of it is 2nd and 3rd hand info. I was even talking ot one of the deputy sherriffs and he wasn't real sure of the facts. I'm sure that there are going to be alot of inquiries about this.

This case seems to be a perfect argument against gun laws and gun-free (read defenseless) zones. The police were notified that he had made threats and failed to respond and no employees were allowed to carry at work, so no one could take this asshole out before he killed someone. It proves that neither the police nor your employer can protect you and you should be allowed to protect yourself. They also reported that this butthole was an FFL.

So what if he holds an FFL? there is nothing magical about this guy. He was just lucky enough to get one. This story is fading fast. The L.A. Times has just relegated it to a few short blurbs 'Love Triangle' Called Factor in Work Shooting http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-000097541dec08.story?coll=la%2Dheadlines%2Dnation. I guess becuase the poor fellow that was killed with a PC shot gun. If it had been an evil AK or AR, OR how about a 50BMG, the coverage would have been different.
