FTA Satellite box

Google it, buy one, don't look back and thank me later

You're welcome.

O, here is a link to the website dedicated to my brand of FTA box.

I pay for interent and basic cable ($59) because internet alone is $60, i save a dollar so I get basic cable for the hell of it, though i have over 600+ channels (all PPV, Movie channels, Porn, etc... also) and Sirius Radio for free.

Speed

Yep, definitely the way to go. FTA rules!

Good luck with that come next year. Let us know how that works out for ya.

Don't I just have to pick-up one of those boxes?

I honestly haven't looked into much because I'd rather not watch as much TV as I do.

I'm paying $0 because Comcast is too incompetent to actually show-up for the install.  The first install date missed was over 18 months ago.  The latest one was two weeks ago.  They have a government-protected monopoly here so the service is horrible.

Of course I'm not fighting that hard to get it.  My neighbor's Comcast service is mostly static, and his cable modem only works about half of the time.  I'd just like to be able to watch college football on ESPN.  Comcast's picture on ESPN is clear enough to tell what is happening.z

Just watch the games on ESPN360.com  Not every game is on there, but they have some good ones.

Thanks for letting me know that exists, but ESPN doesn't make that available in my area or the three others I tried.  I need to find someone that has a login.  I'm still pissed I can't watch football.z

This minus the digital cable box, which I returned to shave $11 off my monthly bill.

Get ready to pony up for the box again, because if you don't have one when everything goes digital, you won't be watching anything.

Wrong, cable is compliant, whether or not you have the box.

ESPN 360 costs extra for the provider to have, company I work for doesnt carry it,

ESPN is a large portion of your cable bill

Funny this thread popped up today.  Tomorrow we're calling AT&T and switching to them from Time Warner.  Cheaper prices, better channel selection, and the nail in coffin- Time Warner considering charging users for their internet usage.  What?  Is this 1995 again?

Comcast couldnt show up for an appointment set almost 2 weeks out (if I remember correctly). The guy even called that morning to let me know he would be here in 30 min.
