When you close, and sign all the paperwork, [b]DO NOT[/b] look at the number that shows all of the money you will actually pay for the house.

A motgage payment is always better than rent in my book. At least at the end you have something to show for it. Let inflation work for you for a change. Plus, you can more or less do what you want with your place when you own it.

I know how you feel, man they just broke ground on our house. It's a long way from Phoenix (Maricopa exit --1 past chandler exit) but what the hey, it was only 111,000 for a continental home, not too shabby these days...can't wait, no more rent! Yahhhooooo!
