Hey, I just tried to access the 1911 forums.com site, and the message "403 forbidden" came on the screen and I was denied access to this site.  Anybody know what the 403 forbidden thingee is.  I've never had any trouble with that site before.  I'm a little taken aback by this.

I hear they shut down for a while every so often to allow ATF data-mining spiders to catalog the board. [;D]

403 means that the web server is rejecting requests to view the resource.

Like antiUSSA said, they could have denied access for some site overhaul, or their access policies could have gotten screwed up somehow.

I tried to send an email and received an "undeliverable" message that said the site was down.
