USMCR, a Longshoreman unit. When he asked for how long he was told "30 days, um, maybe 18 months".

He is still here in Cali but it really bites. He was away for Thanksgiving visiting other relatives and his flight back was canceled so he was a day late getting back. He ran in, gathered his gear, said g'bye and headed off. Suddenly it's very quiet around here [:(]

You should be very proud of him.  I know we all are.

And now we have a specific GI to say a prayer for.

May God speed their safe return.

Thanks to everyone who wears a uniform.  And prayers for them and their families.

I saw that on the local L.A. news that a bunch of Marines are going to be departing Camp Pendlton for the Middle East soon. I would like to wish him a safe return.

For now, I would guess that he's going to Pendleton or 29 Palms, to fill in.
Good luck to him.
