This is a very broad and basic question that covers anything that might happen to you in the next 10 years: occupational duties (military or police), random violent crime, civil disorder, war, or whatever.

I just thought that it would be interesting to take a poll on this since it relates to the frequent discussions of SHTF scenarios, self defense, and mall security. [;)]

Sorta tuff to estimate an encounter over the next 10 years.  With 50% you can't go wrong.

I know it's hard to predict.  Then again, some members here do seem to make a significant effort to prepare for such an event, so I suppose that they have their reasons for thinking there's a serious risk.

I'm a little surprised by the number of responses in the "51-100%" category.
