Did you just save up the money or did you sell a valued possession in order to buy it? Another gun? Crack? Back in ‘97 I sold all of my original Star Wars action figures to get the $800. A few months later I found out that one Ben Kenobi figure I sold was worth something like $200-$300 by itself! Bastard! I still miss them every now and then when I see them in antique shops. I bought them from 1978 through 1984. Oh well, I like the Armalite better.

I had a friend who went Class III and decided he didn't need his SP1 anymore. He was nice enough to extend me credit, and I just recently finished paying it off. God Bless Texas

I sold a bolt action .223 Ruger MKII Stainless Sporter. Couldnt' get the bitch to go under 1.5moa at all. Wanted to do highpower rifle matches anyway, so an AR would work better... don't need two rifles in the same cal. [sniper]

My (gulp) M1A National Match. I know, I know!!! Shut your pieholes! At the time, I was living behind enemy lines in California, and couldn't find a place with any better than a 100yd range. I figured (wrongly) that I didn't need a .308 if that's the longest distance I'd get to shoot at. Four months after I sold my beautiful, pre-ban, walnut stocked, Boyt's slinged, bayonet lugged, flash supressed M1A, I got a job offer in Texas and moved out here. My stomach fills with acid everytime I see an M1A now. I am a dumbass.

I was saving for a down payment on a house. Decided after looking at close to 100 homes... that I really wanted more than I could afford. SO I blew the wad for the down payment on guns/ammo/accessories. And the addiction continues.....

I sold blood, one pint at a time. It took me almost a year and a half to get all the money together...I still feel dizzy. [%|] Gotcha! In reality, I saved all my change for god knows how long and rolled it up, took it to the bank and then placed my order for my DPMS AR-15. My change jar is what I use for most firearm purchases.

Back in June, my transmission was making funny noises. SO I started saving money so I can take my Jeep back to the dealer and see what was wrong. Well (of corse) when I sent my Jeep in, it stopped making the funny noises and started working fine again. So needless to say, with 1200 bucks burning a hole in my pocket, I went to the gunstore and the rest is history. (and no I didn't spend the whole 1200 on the gun)

Well, I sold: 1) Hi-Point 9mm Carbine with Chrome Furniture That Was Fed A Steady Diet Of Winchester Ammunition Only &       30 Rounds 9mm FMJ (Winchester)       20 Rounds .380 Automatic FMJ (Winchester)       A Nice Sling That Was Great For Carrying Under The Shoulder       Various Accessories 2) 1851 Navy Arms Revolver 3) SKS Rifle I do not regret selling #2 and #3. both were POS. But, I loved that 9mm Carbine. Well, they only cost $169 at Gun Shows so I'll be getting another one ASAP now that I have some money. I bought the SKS with Cash on September 11 right when the first Tower fell. i saw it on the Gunshop television. Before that I only had a Shotgun and a broken down .22 Rifle. I thought an SKS would be good for long range. Boy, was I mistaken. I bought the 1851 Navy Arms Revolver at a Pawn Shop on my Credit Card which I am now paying off at the minimum monthly payment plus 1 cent. I bought the 9mm Carbine at a Gun Show. That was my Favorite of the 6 Guns I had at the time. I aquired 4 of those guns within a few weeks of each other. Fortunately, only 2 of them went on a Form 4473. Otherwise, the ATF woulda marked me by now. Then again, they still know that Dozens of guns have moved through my hands. I pawned one gun a while back, when I was 18 and never made that mistake again. I am hoping to eventually having only guns not on 4473s. But, my personal favorite are guns that were made before the GCA of 1968 that don't have any S/Ns. I have had 2 of them in the past. I love that no matter if the are on 4473s, the ATF will never have a traceable S/N.
