That's about what a B model goes for, can't say about an A.  

I have a B model. They can be a PIA to get running. Usually people sell them because they are jam-o-matics. I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was going wrong with the one I bought. I ended up re-cutting the extractor angle, changed recoil spring weight and made the detent in the slide stop/release a little
deeper because it was actually engaging and locking the slide back during recoil. Plus did some work on the mags.
Mags are expensive, too ($40-$50) when you can find them.

 They are extremely accurate, and fun to shoot.
