Chain-store Mexican food sucks. Best Tex-Mex is in the little independently owned places. (El Milagrito in San Antonio has the best Tex-Mex on the PLANET)

Anybody who's been to Bueno knows that it's by far the best. I think it's REAL meat in the tacos as well!

To make a short story long... I was fortunate enough to eat at Albertos when i flew out to visit a Marine Buddy at Pendelton. Stayed overnight in his quarters that night to save some ching- 2 problems with that though...1. The Sarge, who has never inspected their room before decided to check in there and sees me in one of the bunks...he screamed something about "this aint the holiday inn" I ignored him. 2. His roommates were not impressed with the toxic levels of gas that were released that night.

Alberto's on MM Blvd. Actually any "bertos" - Albertos, Robertos, Jilbertos, Aibertos. SD has the best real mex food. Del Taco is better than Taco Hell, imho, for gringo mex food. |
