You might be in EMS/RS when you...... - Search for the main power switch when driving your personal vehicle - Shake somebody's hand and think "great veins" - When your wife/GF is snoring, you start looking for your airway kit to see if you can get the cords in view. - When you finish any meal under 5 minutes - If the employees of any fastfood chain know you by your first name. - When the movie Bringing out the dead isn't as funny as most people thought it was.

- Discussing dismemberment over a gourmet meal seems perfectly normal to you... - You can identify the positive teeth to tattoo ratio... - You have discovered a new condition that you call "hypo-xanax-emia"... - You believe that unspeakable evils will befall you if the phrase "wow, it's really quiet" is uttered... - You have ever wanted to hold a seminar entitled "Suicide...Doing It Right"... - You have ever restrained someone and it was not a sexual experience... - You've ever held a 14 gauge needle over someone's vein and said "now there's going to be a little poke"... - You have ever considered "White Castles" (or "Rats" as they are referred to in NJ) at 0300 as an appropriate and well balanced meal... - You automatically multiply by three the answer to the question "how many drinks did you have today?"... - You have a pet name for your LifePack... - You refer to the Mega-code portion of ACLS as "the fun part"... And a final joke for Kuiper ! Q. What did the Paramedic say to the stroke patient with left side paralysis? A. You're going to be all right! [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D] [:D]

When you use the term "jumper cables" it refers to the AED. You know what DRT means and have used it in a sentence.

- You sleep with Turnout gear next to your bed. - You have a stack of Gall's Catalogs in your bathroom. - You have ever taken 10 or more showers in 1 day. - You take great joy in smashing the windows of a car parked in a fire zone or in front of a hydrant. - You baste the holiday turkey by IM injection. - You have watched EVERY Episode of Emergency! at least a dozen times. (and watching it when I was a kid really sparked my interest in the Fire-EMS field. hey Kuip -- did they have this show in the NL?) OK... How's this, I once asked what to look for when I see a patient. My mentor(I was a second year trainee nurse). Air goes in, Air goes out. Blood goes round and round. Anything deviating from that is a problem.
