i heard there were a few openings in my area and
called someone in d.c. and left a message on voice mail...what/where do i have to go to find out more about it?  anyone here work for them?

I deal with a lot of inspectors and "import specialist" due to my work and have several friends who work in US Customs and they all HATE their jobs with passion.  They have the worst morale I have ever seen and they all seem to get burned out after about 10 years.  All the new guys/gals come in full of energy and gungho attitude but within few years it all gets sucked out of them and make them into zombies.  Only ones who seem to be enjoying their work are the lawyers because they can get away with incompetance without consequence.    They all just want to hold on until retirement age.  I'm not making any of this up.
