It is so nice to de a descendant of the highest humans on the evoloutionary scale. Anyone else up here with me?

My grandma's Norwegian, making me 1/4. Very nice country. My friend was so taken with it she's trying to go to grad school there in Oslo.

I should have known McUzi would be Norsk. He has that crazy Norwegian sense of the absurd. Ja, vi elsker dette lande...Yes I am another American of Norwegian decent. Ever been there? Kan du snakker Norsk? Had a chance to handle the Norwegian version of the Colt 1911 when i was there once. It's a 1914 and was used by far far to shoot Germans in the resistance.

I am halfway there to being a full Norsk and have been there once, just over 20 years ago. "Har du penger?" and "Ja kan ikke snakker Norsk," probably both horribly misspelled, are the only phrases I can remember.

I live in Canada, but my father was born and raised in Norway. I went there for a Summer and stayed on my families farm, and that is where I shot a rifle for the first time. I also met a friend of my Unlce who had the largest gun collection I have ever seen. His entire house was wall to wall firearms, from modern to historical. I remember going in his back yard and firing a submachine gun that could be taken apart and would fit in a small box. He also had a great looking daughter! It's a great place to live, very similar to where I live now, British Columbia. I'm planning on going back in the next couple of years, and maybe go shooting with my Unlce and his friend.

As for being high on the evolutionary scale, anyone who would ski jump the way they do it, is probably on the lower steps of the evolutionary scale. Maybe one step above a Lemming.

C. Ranger: were you begging on the streets there or what? Surprised you didn't learn "Skal vi pula" or "hei Knute, kan du kjope noen ol for mei?". Don't know if you were in Oslo 20 years ago but if you went back to that city today you'd hardly recognize it. Still a nice place but about twice the size and population it used to be.

Full blooded Swede here - south Texas origins though. Never been to the motherland. Probably never will. I don't plan to leave the US for any reason any time soon - not even to Canada.
Now if I ever get a vacation, that might be different....
