Saturday night at a local bar I met a very attractive young lady and hit it off immediately with her. Later on in the evening the subject of politics came up and she stated her affilition to be democrat(very liberal one).I kept my composure and did'nt press the issue(being a conservative republican)and tried to enjoy myself.Would'nt you know it? The subject of guns and gun control was next.She rambled on against guns.At one point she even made the comment that  "Nobody should have guns,not even the police."(I said she was HOT,not SMART).I still kept my outrage at this to myself.What would you have done in this situation?If you nod your head and bite your tongue,your getting some. If you state your beliefs,it's gonna get ugly.Opinions?

Get ugly.  Womenz love confrontation.  She wont respect you if you just agree with everything she says just to get in her pants.

Woment want to be told what to do and how to think.  They respect a man who shoves their ideas back down their throat... and they will be forever thankful for "showing them the way"

Well,the next morning(wink,wink)Ileft her place early because I had stuff to do and asked if she wanted to do something that afternoon(I kinda liked her).She gleefully accepted the offer.Later on I packed up the jeep with every lead-spitting monster I had and went to pick her up.She got nervous after looking in the back seat but did'nt get out of control.We went to my buddy's range and met some of my friends.As I unpacked the gear she started spewing a little liberalnonsense but it soon ended when it was her turn on the firing line.I slapped some hearing protection on her(it was the second form of protection she'd seen me use)and gave her my Bushmaster shorty. She was hesitant but shot it anyway.But then I had a problem.She would'nt give it back.She was having a ball(even though she could'nt hit anything with it)She shot everything.AR-10,Mini-14,Glock,Sig,all of it.
We have another date wednsday.

Conclusion:Liberals stick by their beliefs like Klinton sticks by his marriage vows.

If her IQ seems below par don't waste your breath arguing points.  It's not worth it unless you want to pursue a relationship.

If she seems intellegent/open minded you might begin by saying you enjoy shooting sports and hunting.  A calm, rational, intelligent discussion/debate CAN be enjoyable and you might even sway her to the 'dark side'.

Lucky dog, I usually find the kind that get all huffy when they see the cases of ammo or the safe.  "What do you have in that thing?"

I find in my experiences that most women love gunz after they are desensitized to them.

As far as the politics I would speak my mind but not go overboard unless she really pushed the issue.

People are against guns for only 3 reasons. Most are antis out of ignorance and propaganda pressure. They are scared of them because they don't know any better and they get their "facts" from HCI. These are the ones we need to reach out to, because they don't know anything about firearms.

Then you have the true socialists, who believe a better world lies ahead if only the government had the power to make it that way.

The final category is the only one I respect (actually, feel sorry for), those who have been victims of or had a loved one murdered with a gun. Unfortunately their fear/insecurity/grief drives a misguided passion that is used by socialists, and supported by the ignorant.

Unless you had the incredible misfortune to end up with a socialist (don't, you'll hate yourself in the morning) or the extremely unlikely event that this person was a victim, then a rational, semi-literate person should be open to a discussion.

I always try to ascertain which category the person falls into. If they are a victim, there is no point in saying anything. If they are a socialist, I save the guns for the finale, and attack their politics and economics first. It is just blood sport for me. If they are the ignorant, then by God, it is your duty to educate them.

I am a foreigner, and one of the first things I discovered when I got here was that most American men have been cowed into being lame-assed by PC, feminism and especially sexual harassment. I was surprised by how many women I met that were excited by the fact that I was not. I am not a macho, gung-ho idiot. But I speak my mind and if I think a girl wants a hand on her thigh then that's where it is going. Most women want their men to act that way, not to be jerks, but at least to have some male instincts. They like it that guys actually do manly things. Most of the anti-hunting, anti-guns, anti-military attitudes come out of a feminism that preaches total equality, where women can do all the things men do. But most women want no part of killing animals or understanding the empowerment of firearms to protect the family from harm. These are instinctively and through evolution male jobs, and modern women are confused by these paradoxes. People reject what they do not understand. But at a deeper level they instinctively feel more secure knowing that their man can look after them. (Don't tell the feminists!)

I'm going to guess you decided to tell her. I'm also going to guess she was open. I am going to guess it excited her. Chances are you'll see her again?
