Well,last I heard we were all going to buy 'GUNZ',because we are 'gunnutz'.[>Q]The house prop'a'ganda box,the mindmelter,what ever you call it blew-up,(only 8yrs old, WTF?),so I had to use mine to buy a new one.Anybody get lucky and use the $money$ properly[?]

Dudes..it's NOT a rebate. It's an advance against the 2001 tax refund. Whatever refund you'd get for this year, it's now been cut by the amount of rebate you just got.

No, the tax cut is for 2001.  They are simply rebating the "excess" that they collected during the first few months of the year since the rate dropped on the first few thousand of income.

I was supposed to receive mine in July. Every 4 weeks since mid July I call into the IRS to see wtf is going on with my measly $300 check. Always a problem with my account that is then corrected and takes 4 weeks to clear the computer system. Its bullshit and I have no idea what to do except to keep calling in. My last call was friday. This time (as always) its really been fixed and I should see the check in 3 weeks or call back.. yeah I'll hold my breathe for it!! If I do not get the check again I am going to let it sit and earn interest then deduct it off my total owed taxes next year. During the summer I had alot of use for that extra money. Now if I get it great if not oh well.
