: Survivor www.freerepublic.com/focus/fr/562856/posts Taliban buried alive in mountains: Survivor News/Current Events Source: SIFY News Published: November 3, 2001 Author: Staff Posted on 11/3/01 2:09 AM Pacific by stilts Kabul, Nov 3 "I thought I was going to die — the earth was raining from the skies," a Taliban survivor told the Sun while describing how an entire unit was buried alive in a strike by US B-52s. Osman Rakhim, 23, said the explosions caused by the giant US bombers started a landslide on his mountainside position. He said dozens of troops were killed when hundreds of tons of earth and rock came down on top of them. Rakhim wandered away from the carnage in a daze and later surrendered to the Northern Alliance. He said a whole unit of fighters dug in behind him were buried. Rakhim told the Sun: “I could not see, I couldn’t breathe. Everything was in darkness ... There were many, many bombs. The earth shook and it rained rocks and shrapnel. “The hillside was falling on us. There were about 300 of us there dug in with sandbags. I have no idea how many were killed. ----------------------------------------------- That oughta save 'em some Burial costs.

Just be sure to tell them ll the bombs use lard to lubricate the fuses (or something equally silly).

Well, this sounds like the perfect application for a Bunker Buster. Lets free them from the giant pile of rocks they are buried under with a 5000lb bomb! Kharn

I used to work with VietNamese co-worker who was in the Viet Namese army, and from captured documents he said that the most fearsome thing was the B52 raids dropping hundreds of bombs, because they would collapse their tunnels. It doesn't sound very fun to be on the receiving end of a 500 pound dumb bomb.

Hell yeah!!! I love it. But does anyone see this?: "I thought I was going to die." I thought dieing in the name of allah was something those fucksticks looked forward to. Martyrs, that is. Well, seems it's not. Bomb them some more for posterity.

I had a warm fuzzy feeling when we started carpet bombing. I still do.... Now if we could start carpet bombing with BLU-82's, that would be cool!
Link Posted: 11/3/2001 10:02:18 PM EST
It's a start, but I still think cluster bombs containing bacon grease is the way to go.
Link Posted: 11/4/2001 1:06:34 AM EST
I still think nukes are the way to go.
Link Posted: 11/4/2001 1:54:29 AM EST
awwww, poor little feller, got scared. hahahahahahahaha. lucky for him i'm not the POTUS, because i would have B-52's circling suspected taliban targets until there was nothing left but gravel. and i kind of agree with Ulysse, nukes would be a good start, especially in the barren parts of the country. like i said, good thing im' not POTUS. colt, out.
