What do you think about the possibility of armed citizen wardens similiar to WWII helping to guard and secure sights such as power plants, bridges, tunnels etc.

Bad idea. Most states already have the National Guard and, if the NG is tied up, some form of a State Guard. Most nuke plants alreaady have their own security forces. Tunnels and other transit systems have their own LE agencies.

That or something similar may happen. Safety forces are becoming overwhelmed with false bomb threats and anthrax hoaxes. Tax dollars are being wasted by these kooks and misinformed people that make these calls. If I had my way there would be a national push for volunteers to be trained as first responders to these kinds of things, if it looked suspicious to them then the proper agency would respond.
