Was I just too braindead to catch this somewhere in the mainstream media? Did they mention that congress actually declared war? http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c107:2:./temp/~c1078qpxSO:: HJ 63 IH 107th CONGRESS 1st Session H. J. RES. 63 Declaring that a state of war exists between the United States and any entity determined by the President to have planned, carried out, or otherwise supported the attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001, and authorizing the President to use United States Armed Forces and all other necessary resources of the United States Government against any such entity in order to bring the conflict to a successful termination. IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES September 13, 2001 Mr. WELDON of Pennsylvania (for himself, Mr. SCHAFFER, Mr. PETERSON of Pennsylvania, Mr. GILMAN, and Mr. BARTLETT of Maryland) introduced the following joint resolution; which was referred to the Committee on International Relations -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JOINT RESOLUTION Declaring that a state of war exists between the United States and any entity determined by the President to have planned, carried out, or otherwise supported the attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001, and authorizing the President to use United States Armed Forces and all other necessary resources of the United States Government against any such entity in order to bring the conflict to a successful termination. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. FINDINGS. Congress finds the following: (1) On September 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked and destroyed 4 civilian aircraft, crashing 2 of them into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, and a third into the Pentagon outside Washington, D.C. (2) Thousands of innocent Americans were killed and injured as a result of these attacks, including the passengers and crew of the 4 aircraft, workers in the World Trade Center and in the Pentagon, rescue workers, and bystanders. (3) These attacks destroyed both towers of the World Trade Center, as well as adjacent buildings, and seriously damaged the Pentagon. (4) These attacks were by far the deadliest terrorist attacks ever launched against the United States, and, by targeting symbols of American strength and success, clearly were intended to intimidate our Nation and weaken its resolve. (5) Article I, section 8, of the United States Constitution vests in Congress the power to declare war . SEC. 2. DECLARATION OF WAR . Congress hereby declares that a state of war exists between the United States of America and any entity determined by the President to have planned, carried out, or otherwise supported the attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001. SEC. 3. AUTHORIZATION OF USE OF ARMED FORCES. The President is authorized to use United States Armed Forces and all other necessary resources of the United States Government against any entity determined by the President to have planned, carried out, or otherwise supported the attacks against the United States on September 11, 2001, in order to bring the conflict to a successful termination.

Yeahhhh right!! Only don't kill any CIP's, don't return fire on any PAK. school that is trying to shoot down your chopper, don't make anyone, anywhere angry. Limited war won't work, thats why they call it WAR. Been there, done that, got the T-shirt. Hope the govt. has more up it's sleeve than the cards they are showing. Guess it could be worse, BILLARY's people could still be running things. -- The bottom line is that when your nieghbor's kids are out of control, causing grief in your life, you tell your nieghbor to fix the problem or you will!! no ifs ands or buts. -- rant over -- ALLONS11

Now that a state of war has been declared, will our home/car/business insurance still be in effect, even though we are still paying the premiums?

Saw on CNN a few days after the WTC murders that the Govt. would'nt allow the ins. industry to use the war clause. Today I caught part of a CNN news item about the owners of the towers wanting to collect on each bldg., but the ins. co. would only pay for one incident,(1/2 the cost of both towers). Can you say law suit??!!-ALLONS11
