It appears the IRA is disarming. If this is true, and some of their weapons were purchased here pre-ban...could we bring 'em back? They would not be imports if originally built here and smuggled out. Anyone here named O'something with connections over there? BP

As long as you can get it smuggled back into the States and it isn't full auto, there's no problem.

Hell, if you are going to run the risk of smuggling something, you might as well smuggle something worthwhile! Hypothetically speaking, of course.

Since it was manufactured here, for sale here, AND sold here, THEN smuggled out. Wouldnt it NOT be importing? BP

There's folks on this board that probably have more weapons than the IRA, if what Mr. Ross said is remotely true.

im pretty sure i heard on NPR this morning that one of the resons they were diarming was to raise money for their political machine. maybe impoting stuff from them is not too unrealistic.
