Hey Offroad, just as Striker said, don't wait until you finish College.  You can actaully put yourself through school on the measley pay that the Reserves shells out (I put myself through 4 years of University on it and I was just an enlisted, not an ocifer).  Furthermore, you can try to get onto your regiment's shooting team and that way you can get some free shooting time behind a C7.  Three of the four years I was in I spent at the Connaught ranges in Ottawa.  That's three years of nonstop shooting (over a two month period each summer) at the government's expense.
