What they call the "gun show loophole" is really the private sale loophole, which can go on anywhere in one of the 32 states. It doesn't have to be [u]at[/u] a gun show. DUH!

I got a subscription to [i]Wired[/i] magazine through no choice of my own. It was substituted when [i]Maximum Linux[/i] went defunct.

Folks lets not get too carried away with this one. I recently wrote a letter to the Boston Globe about how rediculous it would be for foreign terrorists to shop here when they can get much more wicked shit cheaper there.

But, Ah there is always a but, It is not unthinkable that terrorists would shop here to commit acts of terrorism here. No, I don't think the law needs to be changed, but I do think gun dealers in general, and people making private sales in particular should be aware of who they are selling to. I sure wouldn't sell to someone without ID, and I wonder how the guy selling the columbine guns feels right now. My point is use a little common sense. Those industries and avocations that don't regulate themselves tend to get regulated. I have seen several gun shops with signs reading that the reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any or no reason. This may piss some people off but these are extraordinary times.

Funny, thats what I was thinking. I saw him with Trent Lott after a Homeland Defence meeting(I think that's what it was) and Mr. Lott was looking at McCain like he had 2 heads. The guy has lost his mucking farbles. They really should increase his prozac dosage.
