Stopped by a local surplus store and was nosing around for a replacement black beret (already trashed mine) and pricing some tiger stripes (still the best pattern IMHO) and saw a shitload of 30 round mags. THe Pre Bans were going for $14.99 and the marked mags for $9.99. The Pre ban mags were pretty beat up looking but all seemed to be in very good working condition. The marked mags were almost new looking. what do you guys think about those prices? Being the team player I am , and thinking about all of you I asked what kind of deal they could give me on 100 of the pre bans. He said he would ask his boss and see if they could cut the price down for a large purchase like that.

Where is this good surplus store at?  That is a great deal on PB mags.  

Incidentally...I was a the WAC show today.  The AR15 guy with the big yellow sign had NIW preban (1983/84/85) mags for $19.95.  I couldn't belive it.

did they have any 20 rnd mags??? i have 10 30's i will trade for 20's if any one is interested....pat

Possibly...he had his grandaughter there while I was visiting.  Lots of AR stuff....NM bolts, higher end sight mounts.  I bought the $19.95 mags;)
