Are the events of 9/11 going to expedite the release, cause a re-edit or postpone the release?

Political considerations as well as poor attendance at the movies are going to have some effect.

I've heard nothing recently about the project and wonder of that's because it's changing.

I read this past week that it is going to be delayed for re-edit.  Not sure what this will mean in the end/

Probably don't want to needlessly antagonize our Muslim friends with a realistic recreation of one of their last fiascos.

Bowden was on MSNBC, or FOX, or one of them speaking about Special Forces and all that. He said he was leaving the next week from some post-production stuff in LA.
He was saying that is was very accurate of what combat is life and many of the people who were there agreed that it was accurate.

Again, he was on NPR (and I was driving, so I cannot remember most of what he said,) but it was brought up that this may be a really great time to release the movie and how it was supposed to be a very accurate account of warfare.

The bright side here, is that it would seem that he is heavily involved and hasn't just been cast aside. Good deal.

I think now would be the best time to release the movie. If it is anything like the book, it is a good balance of heroism and reality of modern warfare in Third World Countries.
