New proposed handgun aim proficiency test.

How lucky you guys are to live in such a civil and safe state...pretty soon gun owners won't accidently shoot people.

Go to any new site...legislation proposed in CA today or yesterday would require potential handgun buyers to take an "aiming" or accuracy test before you can carry out your privaledge of owning a gun.

Yeah, you guys in Maryland must love this if it is true.  How long until you follow suit?  I think you all should just move on down to Virginia!

But of course I do...someone else to feel me pain.  But, no, really, MD isn't that bad yet.  I can still buy prebans!!

That's the most common-sense thing I've heard all day.  When are you coming to MD?

Woo hoo! All they you will have to do is pretend that if they hit the 10 ring they get their choice of a free venti cappuccino or free goatee grooming.

Wouldn't surprise me if the requirement was to shoot 1inch groups at 100yds with that pistol. Then again if someone managed this then they would try to pass a law changing the measurement of an inch.  A co-worker once said "A box of hand grenades will solve any problem."   Give me a dozen boxes.

I don't believe this is new. They tried the same thing last year and it didn't get anywhere. If you're in Jack Scott's district, please vote him out of office!

I hope the cops have to achive the same standards if this law ever passes.

The hell they will! In the sheeple's republik of kalifornia, the royal guard is exempt from all decrees handed down by the sacramento aristocracy.

Hey Stubbs....you haven't read the fine print.  It says you have to be blindfolded, spun around three times and shoot with your left hand.  Or, exactly the same requirements to get your CCW permit.  You gotta love this country.  Kill somebody with your car...it's your fault.  Kill somebody with a gun...it's the guns fault.

Don't let your secrets out, radioman!

With a freak show like the CA legislature as entertainment, what else do I need?  Just sit back with some popcorn...then again there is another show...MY STATES LEGISLATURE!

New legislation proposed Monday would require California handgun purchasers to demonstrate their firearms competence and obtain a state license in much the same way motorists do.

There are two proposed bills BS35 and AB52.  I think both require a practical test.  They want the local LEO to administer the written and practical since local dealers are biased and only think about sales.

Jack $hit (scott), and Don Peretta are hoping the practical consists of checking your anus with a speclium.

How will we get proficient before we get a handgun? I have a hard enough time after getting one. Will they issue learners permits? Have Shooters Ed in schools?
