Watching 'Band of Brothers' I noticed they use a different phonetic alphabet then today. Is it the same one that police use? Also, when did they change it? In the Marines, the unit names are very staight forward. 1st/2nd/4rd/4th Marine Division, with Regts/BN/Co/Plts under them. ie 'Alpha' Co/1st Bn/1st Marine Reg/1st Marine Div....pretty simple. How are the unit numbers broken out logically in the Army?

Which phonetic alphabet do you want? Alfa, Bravo, Charlie, etc.... or Adam, Baker, Charlie.. etc Let me know I and can post it. Av

I tried to find the WW II phoenetic alphabet months ago with no luck. I remember it starting this way: Able Baker Charlie Dog Easy Fox
