I never wanted an SKS. They were long,heavy, ugly, The mag didnt detach and the wood always looked like s*it. Then I found this. I still cant get anything but a red X. You will have to go look for yourself. Sorry!

I really miss my $100 SKS, probably one of the best guns dollar for dollar I ever bought.
I would take one over an Mini-14 or a Mini-30.

The wood sure looks better than the Chinese "Orange Tree" wood on the MAK90's.

I opted to paint the stock of one of mine. I like it much better than the way it looked before. The sks is a good solid gun. Everyone should have at least one. [:)]

tc6969, tell us whats diffrent about your sks

I know next to nothing about these things. I just started researching yesterday. This one appears to be a lot shorter than all the other ones that I have seen. It also uses AK47 magazines. The muzzle brake on this one is larger and much heavier than usual and looks like it will actually work and reduce some of the rise. Like I said, I dont know Jack! all I know is what feels good to me and this one does! I can feel the wild pork trembling in fear! I will let you know how it shoots Sunday.

Dear Abby,

I met Laurie at a singles dance.  I knew as soon as I looked at her she was
too young for me.  Right I was.  I'm 54 and she was 32 , 22 years my junior.
I really regretted it because we got along so well that evening.  She made
me feel so comfortable in her presence.  Our age difference didn't seem
to matter to her as much as it did to me.

Abby, I told her I felt people staring at us.  I said they are probably
wondering if I am your father.  She thought I was being silly and said if I
wanted to see her again she would be honored to go out with me.

Laurie and I have been dating now for three months.  I really like her and I
think she likes me.  Still, everywhere we go, I feel people watching us.

Sometimes they just outright stare.  It is very annoying and I know it is
because of our age difference that draws these prolonged looks from everyone
we meet.  I just feel so uncomfortable about this whole thing and wonder if
I should continue with the relationship.

Why do people have to be so rude and stare continually....?

I was in a grocery store the other night and I shit you not there was a lady pushing a cart that looked similar to the lady in that pic and the only thing in her cart was two cantaloupes. (I swear it's true!) I so badly wanted to say "Nice Melons" when she walked by but I didn't have the nerve!
