Anyone have experience with these? I just got 1 on an impulse buy. I know,I know, it's a little late now to ask. But I haven't fired it yet. I was looking for a 1911 type to replace my Glock 30 and walked out with the Beretta. It fits my hand well but it is Large and not going to be easy to conceal. I already have a PT92 which has a similar grip frame. It also does not conceal well. Price was $600. Thinking about it kept me up last night. Please Y'all throw some input at me. But please don't beat me up too bad about the impulse buy, I was feeling naked without a carry gun. And I had the wife and kids with me when I bought it. I should have gone alone. I am sure that I can trade or sell it if need be. Or at the risk of getting the dealer mad at me I could ask for an exchange. Thanks, Del

That one's on my list. I think you got a good gun for a good price. Nice choice. Keep it.

From all the reviews that I have read on it, it sounds like a really good pistol. I have a 92FS and couldnt be happier. I have been thinking about getting a Beretta 9000, since MI has changed our CCW laws. Has anybody heard anything about those?

The magazines are interchangeable between the 92 & 9000 series, making it a good big/small combo, in like caliber. The safties work opposite, though. Same for the 80 series safties working opposite the 92 series. Smaller calibers and platform for a carry gun, but, you've got to remember which way to flick the lever. I almost went with the Browning BDA in .380 for this reason. It's made by Beretta anyway (was, been discontinued). I favor the 92/96 series. But, I want that 8045 someday for the "collection".

BTW....here is the review that I read on the 8045. Hope that helps to settle some of your concerns: http://www.galleryofguns.com/ShootingTimes/Articles/DisplayArticles.asp?ID=21

Purchased the Mini-Cougar 8045 last week. Went to the range and fires great, the wife took possession and have not seen it since. Looking for a Daisy BB, she also has the checkbook!

I can't speak for the 8045 but I do have a 8000 & 8040. I got them for $475/gun a few years ago and really like them both.
