Does any member have any feedback on this rifle.  What would you expect to pay retail?

Thanks for your assistance.

$800 is a decent price, not the cheapest Bushy out there.  I have one and like it, but it is very loud with that muzzle break.

I got a used one in verygood condition at an auction for $455. That's prolly not typical, but the rifle has treated me well, but be sure to wear ear plugs.

Many folks have em' and many like em'

You wil prolly want to change out the handguards to M4 config as the stock tend to get real hot real fast.

Otherwise a very nice config.!

Also, very good accuracy from what is really a 14.5" barrel

I love mine.  Repeat shots on target lightning fast, that brake really does its job!  Loud?  Not with ear plugs in...  Retail everywhere I've seen for this model is $819.00.

Very loud, but a great rifle.

My first AR was a short bushy with the AK break.  It is loud as hell, but i heard that is more effective at clearing an area. The mini-Y comp looks cool on a short bushy also. You might want to consider the M-4 clone that has the fake tele-stock and the light barrel. I think it is a little less and still a great shooter.

I paid $725 out the door, brand new. the guy threw in a 30rnd oralite also. I did send the "franken mag" back to bushy for one of the new 10 rounders. I realy do like this rifle. It is loud as others have stated but it is acurate and quick handling.

While we are speaking about short bushies with breaks...does a bushmaster match trigger (3.5lb pull) make a big difference? I figure the lighter pull would make for quicker follow up shots and more accurate shooting. Is it worth the $120 or so. Any thoughts on this?

Got mine for $680 plus $20 shipping plus $25 FFL transfer fee.  Works great.

I checked the bullet velocity out of this short barrel, and was surprised at how small the difference in velocity was as compared to my 20" Bushmaster.  I was shooting Winchester Q3131A.  The 20" has a little more than a 1000 rounds through it.  The Shorty AK is brand new.  The 20" was producing velocities between 3050 and 3100 fps.  The AK Shorty was producing velocities between 2920 and 2970 fps.  I was guessing that the shorty would produce much lower velocities, so I was surprised.
