I was talking to some guys at work about re-tooling to make Tanks, Hummers ect instead of pasenger cars.  
   If we get into a big war how are we going to equip are troops???   Do we have a bunch of old equipment sitting around???  Did we sell it to a buch of fuzzy third world countries that we might have to go and fight against???
  I know  a lot about manufactring and tooling (but not that much about spelling).  I think it would take at least a year to get tooled up for building M-1 tanks, F-14s and the like.
  We may have to buy or borrow equipment form other countries so we can fight.
