I have a couple of "AKs" if you can call them those - Arsenal 7.62x39 AK-type rifles.  I've wanted a 5.45 for awhile and kept putting it off.  well the tax rebate check came in today and I had the latest SGN so I started calling around.  EVERYBODY is sold out of SARs.  Luckily my dealer still had a single SAR-2 left, all SAR-1s long gone.  He even came further down on his "sale" price of $350 for me since I'm a pretty good customer.  Still, hard to believe that in one week the glut disappeared completely.

Moral of the story, when you want it, buy it if it is at a good price, those deals may be fleating and you never know when you might need it.

Hard to believe I just paid the same for a SAR-2 that I did for a like new SLR-95 six months ago.

That's a gret price stubbs, just telling you that I spoke with the wholesalers and distributers today and none of them had any SAR 1s or 2s and had no clude when they might get more.  There is a supply of them out there in the shops and at the shows, but when they are gone they may not be replaced for awhile.

As a side note, I would have picked one up at the Syracuse show this past weekend, but it was cancelled.

GiJ, did you not read the post?  I have the latest SGN and called all the ads which had them listed.  ALL are sold out!!!!!!!  That is the ONLY reason I paid what I did.  Usually when they are sold out they tell you call back in a week or two when they will have a new shipment.  Not a single one indicated that they would be getting anymore in anytime in the near future.

SP, the Lady Hiram told me to go ahead and buy it since she knows I take her protection seriously :).  Yup, all gun purchases are cloaked in the "honey I need this to ensure our safety guise."  That, and she bought herself a $400 lambskin jacket this weekend so she didn't have a leg to stand on.
