Does anyone know where to get good deals on 30 carbine ammo? I was also wondering if anybody knows a good place to get M1 carbine 30rd GI mags

bushmaster sells the mags dont they?  pretty sure i saw mags in the BM catalog for a cheap price.

You might consider sticking with the 15 rounders.  Consensus is that they are more reliable.  They are more handy too and much cheaper.  Any decent gun show should be able to set you up, these mags are very common.

As for ammo, if you can find any below about 18 cents a shot let me know.  It costs more than .223 so I don't shoot my carbine as much as I'd like.

Thanks for the heads up on the 15 vs. 30 rounders.  I just trade for an IAI and am becoming very fond of it for my in home defense weapon. Very reliable, and would not like to hamper its ability.  I prefer 20s over 30s in my ARs as well.  Now to find a good bulk ammo deal.  Guess i'll be reloading for it.
