I was watching a replay of a memorial service held in Britain. They sang our national anthem. That may not seem like much, until you consider that it is a song about us kicking their butts.

Actually, it's a song about us not giving in as they were kicking our butts, but the fact it happened is profound nonetheless. When I saw those hundreds of Brits standing there crying as our national anthem was played, I could not help but feel they are truly on our side. Perhaps blood is thicker than water.

While I have had some issues with Britain's foreign policies (mainly in the past), I do feel they are the only ones that have our backs. It is a truely heart tugging demonstration of support I wish I would have seen it.

The U.S. has bailed their collective socialist butts out of two world wars.  They owe us one, so do a lot of those other countries.

True, they owe us, but the tears I saw were not the result of owing us a debt. I think they really cared.
