That cartoon required some real stupidity to produce. Even if you were thinking it, you would have to be an a**hole to print it.

Leave him YOUR address & phone number so that he can either call or write you an apology. I feel like I need a shower after viewing trash like that. Ralph owes ME & YOU & ESPECIALLY the WTC victims an apology!!!

My response:

"Your cartoon of September 13, juxtaposing the crumbling of the World Trade Center with the famous photo of a burned Vietnamese child was, quite frankly, offensive.  While the moral issues surrounding Vietnam have been debated for the last 30 years, now is not the time, and NYC is not the place to argue it.  It would seem that the editorial staff have neither the character nor the common sense to arrive at this obvious conclusion on your own."

Dude...

If you didn't understand it: the cartoon is saying that the people who did this are our moral equivalent due to our actions in the Vietnam war.

Tasteless, un-patriotic, & down right offensive.

But, the First Amendment protects them & their viewpoint.

Still, I voiced my displeasure as to the timing of their view...very ill timed.

Do you know what this depicts?  It is a remake of a pic taken in Viet Nam of a little girl running naked after an incident, presumably caused by us.  The comparison is to make the United States the equilavent of terrorists!  These fucking traitors should be hung.

The U.S. did not do the bombing for this picture, it was South Vietnam.

edited, One would think the socialist media would correct this, but instead blame in on the U.S. their bread-n-butter.

This is what I have written to the editor of the sac bee:Your parody of the horrific events that occured on the 11th of september, in your cartoon on the 13th is sickening to myself and many others.  You may be protected under the constitution, but I have no doubt you have the protection of the capitalist society which so adimantly try to humor on a day to day basis.  No matter what you intended reaction may have been, you have sorely missed your window of opportunity for funny business.  Your hindsight is always much clearer after you have struck a nerve.  I my own opinion you are no better than the perpetraitors, of this terrible attrocity.  A retraction on your part is worthless in my mind, a better fix would be to close your doors, and pray that no Americans print a retraction on you.

thank you,

Nathan Barton

-Hopefully they will get a small picture of the grief that our nation is feeling.

havent posted for a while but enjoy all of your posts daily.  stay strong, together we can conquer all!!
