First choice: A gurkha khukri would be very effective in close quarters. Point a gun at me, I cut off your hand. No noise or decompression risk to worry about. They are also pretty damn intimidating to see. In firearms: suppressed Kimber Pro CDP with a tasco Optima red dot sight.

Any Semi-Auto. Pistol with a De-cocker and DA/SA operation with a good Supressor and laser dot.

M4. Cutco Cleaver. Blowgun with poison darts. Duct Tape.

My Ruger Mark II .22 bullseye pistol (iron sights). I'm pretty sure I could put one in his eye at fifty feet, no exit, no decompression of the cabin. For close quarters there are a couple of Krav Maga maneuvers that would drop him before he knew what hit him.

A half dozen armed special forces guys. Nobody would mess with me. [:D]

Firearm: H&K P7M10 with frangible ammo to minimize penetration and "collateral damage". Blade: Benchmade 9100 Auto Stryker

Serbu super shorty, with 12 gauge shells filled with some kind of hardened nylon/plastic shot that will kill but not penetrate the body of the plane.

My usual sidearm, just loaded with MagSafe SWAT.

As many 100 megaton bombs as would fit in the bomb bay, and maps of Afghanistan, Sudan, and Iraq. At least for the first sortie.....

Q: If you could - what would you carry on a plane? Chips and salsa. Microwave popcorn. A nice, dry Cabernet or Merlot.
Link Posted: 9/13/2001 1:39:49 PM EDT
SWS, You can do that now. Any time you want. Might be hard to microwave the popcorn, though. People hate it when I visit my folks and fly back with two mouth-watering Italian cold cut subs. I always eat one on the plane. YUM!

Probably my Walther PPK/S because its small. Also I like the Duct Tape idea. Maybe hold the perp at gunpoint, Duct tape hands behind back. Then Duct tape mouth and nose....

If I could, I'd wear a full metal jacket. Try to get through that with a plastic knife or box cutter.

- gasp - surely a fetching Syrah or Shiraz would be more appropriate given the spiciness and heat of the salsa... [:O]

I'd be somewhat relieved if they just let every Tom, Dick, and Harry carry a real knife of any size you can carry discretely. Again - it's not the hardware - it's the imbalance of hardware. The old adage about bringing a knife to a gun fight applies to bringing box cutters and razor blades to a knife fight too.
