I was thinking about everyone wanting to bury a few spares to have handy. What about putting a few in the walls between the sheet rock. Would be fairly easy to get to. would not be good if you had to bug out quickly. Maybe put it in the wall behind the fridge or something equally heavy. What do you think? the only problem with this is all the nice ATF people reading this post now know.

You're a lot more likely to have a fire, than a visit by the Ninjas. If your home decides to do a Waco impersonation - even if you were home you'd never get them out in time,  Course Waco type ninjas might indeed show up if the fire fighters, & LE hear enough "popping".

Ya know,,, your idea WOULD make a good "poor mans safe" though. Behind the refrigerator sounds like a place a BG would be too lazy to look.

Metal detectors are hell when your trying to hide things.  They can detect through walls.
